Working Papers Series - Small Grants Scheme 2017

The Working Papers series aims to make research related to human rights defenders accessible to the public and to promote further research that is relevant to human rights defenders.  All papers should have implications for practice.

Each paper is expected to be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, and formatted using Harvard Referencing System.

We will arrange for accepted papers to be peer-reviewed by two people, usually an academic and a practitioner, and then professionally copy-edited and typeset before being published on our website.  Papers may also be translated into other languages.

Publication in this series does not preclude publication elsewhere.

To apply for a grant of up to £2,500 under this scheme please submit

  1. A one-page project proposal

  2. An indicative budget

  3. A CV
