Fazendinhando - Brazil
Fazendinhando is a movement of territorial, cultural and social transformation in vulnerable territories, carried out by and for the residents, through the recovery of public spaces and housing, art and culture actions, professional qualifications and social entrepreneurship.
As the pandemic situation sees some improvements in Brazil, the Fazendinhando Institute intends to begin efforts to rebuild and revitalize spaces and community bonds. Thus, in 2022, they plan to hold their III Arts Festival. The main objective of the Festival is to promote a feeling of belonging among residents towards the spaces of the Favela, dialoguing with the idea that these places belong to the residents, and can be occupied by them. In this way, it is expected not only to strengthen community life, but also to leave an aesthetic legacy and promote the sustained improvement of the residents' quality of life.
