CO-PLAY: Collaborative Conversations and Pod-Plays During the Time of Covid-19 - Duygu Dalyanoğlu & Özlem Aslan, Turkey
CO-PLAY is a collaborative project between artist Duygu Dalyanoğlu and activist Özlem Aslan. The project is a podcast series shaped around pod-plays which are 10 minute short audio drama plays. Each episode will involve a pod-play with characters that will be designed to make the invisible and unspoken COVID-19 stories of women in Turkey visible and heard. These pod-plays aim to create empathy and curiosity about these stories which not only discuss the hardships characters go through during the pandemic but also the strategies they develop within their communities to tackle these hardships. A conversation with a rights defender who participates in COVID-19 relief efforts in these communities will follow each pod-play. With the help of these conversations, we aim to go beyond rendering visible to also address possible actions that can be taken to support these communities.
Pod-plays & Interviews
Pod-plays will be written and directed by artist Duygu Dalyanoğlu. Activist Özlem Aslan will design and lead the conversations with the human rights defenders.
